The offer: a free trial for new subscribers

Amazon offers every new Music Unlimited subscriber a free trial of the Individual Plan. The length of the trial is set by Amazon's current offer and shown on the sign-up page before you confirm; when Amazon runs a longer promotion, this page flags it with its dates in the offer box and removes it the day it ends.

Music Prime vs Music Unlimited

Every Prime membership includes Amazon Music Prime at no extra cost. Music Unlimited is the upgrade: on-demand access to the full 100 million songs with unlimited skips, lossless HD and Ultra HD, Spatial Audio in Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio, and access to audiobooks on eligible plans (not the Student or Single Device plans). Prime members pay £1 a month less for it than everyone else.

Who it suits

Music Unlimited suits people who choose exactly what they play: album listeners, playlist builders and anyone with an Echo who asks Alexa for specific songs. Its HD and Ultra HD streams suit listeners with good headphones or speakers. Prime households get the lowest price, and families of up to six can share the Family Plan.

How to start the trial

1. Press Start your free trial on Amazon on this page. It opens Amazon Music Unlimited's page.
2. Sign in to your Amazon account. Amazon shows the free trial you qualify for.
3. Confirm the Individual Plan and open the Amazon Music app.
4. To stop before paying, turn off auto-renewal in Your Amazon Music Settings before the trial ends.

Who can take the trial

Turn off auto-renewal any time in Your Amazon Music Settings. Cancel before the end of the free trial to avoid any payment, or afterwards to end at the close of the billing period.
