HonestCodes is run by HonestCodes Editorial — a small UK editorial team that built the site after years of swapping referral codes with friends and finding most aggregator sites listed expired or unverifiable codes. Brand selection, code verification and the editorial standards below are handled in-house. The site does not use scraping, AI-generated body copy, or affiliate-network feeds.

How we dominate verification

Every code is hand-verified against the brand's own official terms — never scraped, never copied from forums. From then on it runs on two tracks: automated daily link checks confirm the referral is still live, and an editor re-verifies each offer's terms monthlyagainst the brand's own current terms. The date shown as “Verified” is the most recent of those checks — last checked, not last changed.

Concretely, every brand page goes through the same six-step protocol before it's published, and stays under it for as long as it's live:

1. Source check.We open the brand's own published programme terms (help centre, in-app invite flow, or official offer page) — never a competitor's listing, a forum post, or last year's screenshot.
2. Figure transcription.The bonus amount, who gets paid, the qualifying action and the time window are copied directly from those terms, then cross-checked against any in-app wording so the number on our page matches the number you'll actually see.
3. Eligibility & regulatory check.We record the new-customer rules and add the relevant regulatory context — FCA authorisation and FSCS protection for banks, EMI safeguarding for wallets, ATOL for flights, the DfT trial for e-scooters — so the page is honest about what you are and aren't covered by.
4. Live-link check (daily, automated). A scheduled job confirms every referral link still resolves; a dead link opens an issue the same day.
