Is VOXI worth it in 2026?

What you are actually buying

VOXI sells one thing differently from every other network: data for the apps you open most is free. The selected social media apps are zero-rated in the UK on every plan, music apps join them from £12 a month, and video apps — YouTube among them — from £15. General data is only spent on everything else. For someone whose phone is mostly Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube, the headline allowance understates what the plan delivers.

The fine print is short and worth knowing. The unlimited treatment applies to the named apps in the UK; calls made through social apps are excluded; and VOXI notes that third-party adverts or links out of an app can draw on general data, as can out-of-date app versions. Abroad, a European Roaming Pass from £2.45 a day carries the plan across the EU and nearby destinations, with a 20GB fair-use limit.

Behind the brand is Vodafone Limited — VOXI is one of its trading names — on what VOXI calls The Nation's Network, the combined Vodafone and Three network. Every plan includes 5G, WiFi Calling and Visual Voicemail, and every plan is available as an eSIM.

The plan decides the reward

VOXI's Friends with Benefits terms price the referral reward off the new joiner's plan. £10 and £12 plans earn £10 each; the £15 plan earns £15; the £20 plan and anything above earn £20. For referrals made between 7 July and 7 October 2026, the Double Rewards clause doubles each tier to £20, £30 and £40.

That makes the £20 plan the interesting one. It reaches the same top tier as the £35 Unlimited plan while costing £15 a month less, and it carries 100GB of general data plus every unlimited-app bundle VOXI sells. Anyone who needs genuinely unlimited data takes the £35 plan and loses nothing on the reward; everyone else gets the maximum at £20.

One rule keeps the choice honest: a plan change before the second payment pays both sides on the lower of the two plans. Choose the plan for the first two months at sign-up and leave it there.

Two months, then the gift card

The trigger is simple persistence. The new joiner pays for a second month within 60 days of the first, without pausing the plan; the person who invited them does the same; and both hold an active plan when they claim. VOXI's reward partner, Buyapowa, then emails each of them a claim link that stays valid for 90 days.

The reward is chosen at that point: an Amazon.co.uk gift card, a Just Eat gift card, or cash to PayPal. For PayPal, the terms require the PayPal account's email to match the VOXI account's — the one detail worth arranging before sign-up.

The one thing not to add at checkout

VOXI's referral has no code, and the terms make that deliberate: applying a promotional code at checkout invalidates the referral, and so does joining through the student certification route or with the one-month-free code. The link at https://join.voxi.co.uk/LTYEql, together with the friend landing page it opens, carries the whole reward.

Students therefore choose a route. VOXI's student offer — through GoCertify, UNiDAYS or Student Beans — gives a first month free and boosted allowances, from 80GB on the £10 plan to 500GB on the £20 plan. The referral link gives the gift card at the standard price. Both are good routes into the same network; they are simply taken separately.

The verdict, and why this link

VOXI is worth it for anyone whose data use is dominated by social apps and video, and who values leaving at a month's notice. The referral adds a real, cash-equivalent reward on top, and the £20 plan is where plan value and reward value meet.
