Is Bluehost worth it in 2026?
Yes, for anyone who wants a WordPress site on their own domain at the lowest monthly cost. Why Bluehost is worth it
Price is the first reason. On the UK partner page the cheapest plan is £1.50 a month, and even the most popular tier, Business Essentials, is £3.99, which buys 50 sites, 50 GB of NVMe storage, phone support, malware removal and a year of domain privacy. Every plan comes with a free first-year domain, SSL and a CDN, so there is nothing else to buy to go live.
Pedigree is the second. WordPress.org has recommended Bluehost since 2005, and the platform installs WordPress in one click, manages its updates and runs it on LiteSpeed servers with NVMe storage. For anyone building on WordPress, that is a safe home.
The renewal question
Bluehost prints the renewal rate beside every offer, so the long-term cost is clear before you pay: One Site renews at £6.78 a month, Starter £7.69, Business Essentials £14.59 and eCommerce Essentials £19.99. The 36-month term holds the partner price for three years, which is why it is the term to choose.

| One Site | £1.50 a month | £6.78 a month |
| Starter | £2.29 a month | £7.69 a month |

Bluehost or Wix?
They solve the same problem differently. Bluehost gives you WordPress, the open platform with its own themes and plugins, on hosting from £1.50 a month. Wix, also verified on HonestCodes, is a closed drag-and-drop builder with a free plan and Premium from £9 a month on yearly billing. Pick Bluehost for control, plugins and the lower paid price; pick Wix if you never want to think about WordPress.
Either way, there is no code to hunt for: https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/bluehost applies Bluehost's partner price and https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/wix opens Wix's own offer.
The verdict
Worth it: WordPress hosting from £1.50 a month in pounds, WordPress.org's recommendation since 2005, and 30 days to change your mind. Every figure here was read on Bluehost's UK page on 2 October 2026.
