## About Wix

Wix is the drag-and-drop website builder whose own landing page says **over 15,000 sites go live with Wix every day**. You start from a single prompt with Wix's AI, or from a designer-made template (its plans page counts **2,000+**), then refine every detail in the editor and add a shop, bookings, a blog or a members' area as the business grows. Hosting is built in, with **99.99% uptime** by Wix's own figure, and every plan comes with **24/7 customer care**.

For UK founders, freelancers and small businesses the appeal is that the whole job lives in one place: design, domain, hosting, payments, SEO tools, email marketing and social posts, all priced in pounds.

## What you get through the HonestCodes link

https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/wix opens Wix's website-builder page, the landing page Wix recommends to partners for the broadest audience. From there:

| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| **Free plan** | Build and publish free, no credit card |
| **50% off Premium** | For new users who upgrade within 48 hours of signing up, per Wix's partner team |
| **Free domain for a year** | On every Premium plan |
| **14-day money-back guarantee** | On new Premium plans, monthly or yearly |

HonestCodes is an **approved Wix partner**. The link is a tracked partner link, checked every day; there is no code to type and nothing to paste at checkout.

## Wix prices in the UK

Wix's plans page, read on the date at the top of this page, lists these UK prices. They are monthly equivalents for **yearly** plans, paid in full at purchase; tax is added at checkout according to your billing address, and Wix offers other billing periods too.

| Plan | Price a month | Storage | Collaborators | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | **£0** | Up to 500MB | – | Trying Wix, personal pages |
| Light | **£9** | 2 GB | 2 | Getting the basics online |
| Core | **£16** | 50 GB | 5 | Engaging an audience, taking payments |
| Business | **£25** | 100 GB | 10 | Growing a brand (Wix's recommended plan) |
| Business Elite | **£119** | Unlimited | 100 | Scaling a business |

Every Premium plan includes a **free domain for one year**, multi-cloud hosting and a marketing suite that scales with the plan (light, basic, standard, advanced). **Core and above** add **Accept payments**, eCommerce (basic, standard, advanced) and **scheduling and services**; Business Elite adds the advanced developer platform.

The 50% new-user discount is the moment to choose a bigger plan than you would otherwise: Wix's help centre is clear that a promotion covers the **first month or year** of a plan, and renewals are charged at the plan's normal price.

## The Free plan, and when to upgrade

The Free plan is a real working site: reliable hosting, the drag-and-drop editor, no-code design features and thousands of templates. It runs on a **wixsite.com** address, shows **Wix ads** and has up to **500MB** of storage and bandwidth.

Upgrade when the site needs to look like a business: a Premium plan connects your **own domain**, removes the Wix ads and lifts storage. Wix has no Premium free trial; the Free plan is the trial, and the 14-day money-back guarantee covers the first two weeks of a paid plan.

## The 14-day money-back guarantee

From Wix's help centre:

- **Who it covers:** new Premium and Studio site plans, **monthly or yearly**.
- **How:** cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund to the original payment method; Wix allows up to 45 business days for it to land.
- **What it excludes:** plan renewals, upgrades of an existing plan, and domain purchases.
- **What happens to the site:** nothing is deleted; it returns to the free version.

## Is there a Wix promo code, coupon or voucher?

People search for a Wix promo code, discount code, coupon code and voucher. Here is what actually exists.

| What people search for | What actually exists |
|---|---|
| Wix promo code | Wix's new-user offer: 50% off Premium within 48 hours of sign-up, through https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/wix |
| Wix discount code | The same new-user discount; no code field needed |
| Wix coupon code | Wix-issued promotions, valid for the first month or year of a plan only |
| Wix voucher | The free one-year domain voucher on Premium plans (new Wix domains only) |
| Wix free trial | The Free plan, plus a 14-day money-back guarantee on Premium |

The straight answer: the Wix offer worth having is the **new-user discount in the first 48 hours**, and the HonestCodes link starts that clock with a tracked Wix account. Codes copied from coupon sites carry no date or source; Wix's own help centre adds that any promotion covers only the first month or year of a plan.

## Wix vs Shopify

Both are on HonestCodes, verified from each brand's own pages:

| | Wix | Shopify |
|---|---|---|
| Start free | **Free plan, no card needed** | 3-day free trial, no card |
| Entry price | **£9 a month** (Light, yearly) | £1 a month for 3 months, then Basic |
| Taking payments | Core, £16 a month (yearly) | Basic, £19 a month (yearly) |
| Best for | Service businesses, portfolios, bookings, sites with a shop | Shop-first businesses |

Wix wins for anyone whose website **is** the business card, the booking system and the shop at once; [Shopify](/codes/shopify) suits a business that is a shop first.

## Who Wix suits

| Who | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Sole traders and freelancers | A professional site on your own domain from £9 a month |
| Salons, studios, consultants | Scheduling and services from Core |
| Small shops | Payments and eCommerce from Core, scaling to Business Elite |
| Bloggers and creators | Templates, a blog and built-in SEO tools |
| Anyone unsure | Build free first; upgrade within 48 hours for the 50% |

## Why this link is the one to use

Every figure on this page is read from Wix's own pages on the date at the top (the UK plans page, the website-builder page and the Wix help centre), re-verified monthly, and the link is checked every day. The 50% new-user discount is Wix's own offer, stated in writing by its partner team. Coupon aggregators list Wix codes with no date or source, and social posts quote offers nobody has checked. https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/wix starts a real Wix account on the live offer, and HonestCodes is an approved Wix partner.

## Source documentation

UK plan prices, plan features, the yearly-billing and tax note, the free domain, the 2,000+ templates and the 99.99% uptime figure are from **Wix's plans page**; the 15,000-sites-a-day figure is from **Wix's website-builder page**; the 14-day money-back terms, the 45-business-day refund window, the free-site limits, the absence of a Premium free trial, the plan-change rules and the first-term-only promotion rule are from the **Wix help centre** ("Requesting a Refund for a Premium or Studio Plan", "Wix Premium Plan Pricing", "Using Wix Promotions for Premium Plan Renewals"); the 50%-within-48-hours new-user discount is from **Wix's partner team** (27 September 2026). All read on the date at the top of this page. Wix may change its offer at any time; HonestCodes re-reads it on the date shown.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a Wix promo code that works in 2026?

The offer rides on the link rather than a code: https://honestcodes.co.uk/go/wix opens Wix with the free plan ready to start, and Wix's partner team says new users get 50% off when they upgrade to Premium within 48 hours of signing up. HonestCodes is an approved Wix partner and checks the link every day. Wix's own help centre confirms promotions apply to the first month or year of a plan, not to renewals.

### How much does Wix cost in the UK?

Wix's plans page, read on the date at the top of this page, lists Light at £9 a month, Core at £16, Business at £25 and Business Elite at £119, all billed yearly and paid in full at purchase, with tax added at checkout according to your billing address. The Free plan is £0 with no credit card.

### Is Wix free?

Yes, building a site is free. The Free plan includes hosting, the drag-and-drop editor, no-code design features and thousands of templates; the site runs on a wixsite.com address, shows Wix ads and has up to 500MB of storage and bandwidth. A Premium plan adds your own domain and removes the Wix ads.

### Does Wix have a money-back guarantee?

Yes: 14 days on new Premium and Studio site plans, monthly or yearly. Cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund to the original payment method (Wix allows up to 45 business days for it to land). It does not cover renewals, plan upgrades or domain purchases.

### Is there a free trial of Wix Premium?

Wix does not run a Premium free trial; it offers the Free plan to build on and the 14-day money-back guarantee on a new Premium plan instead.

### Do Wix plans include a free domain?

Every Premium plan on the UK plans page lists a free domain for 1 year. Wix's terms make the voucher valid only for a new domain bought from Wix, not for renewing or extending one you already own.

### Which Wix plan lets me take payments?

Core (£16 a month), Business (£25) and Business Elite (£119) list Accept payments, eCommerce and scheduling and services. Light (£9) covers the basics: a free domain for a year, 2 GB storage and the light marketing suite.

### Can I change my Wix plan later?

Yes, up or down at any time, including between monthly and yearly. Moving to a cheaper plan credits the difference. Each Premium plan covers one site.

### What is the difference between Wix and Wix Studio?

Wix Premium plans are for sites built in the Wix Editor; sites built in the Studio Editor, Wix's platform for agencies and freelancers, upgrade with a Studio plan instead.
